Please ensure that your child gets plenty of sleep for the next few upcoming weeks. Statistics show that a child aged 11-14 should sleep 9-11 hours a night.
Please check behind your child to ensure that they have properly plugged in their Chromebook, and that is charging. We see so many students daily with uncharged Chromebooks. It delays our class periods and often disengages them from class work. Their Chromebook is used daily.
Attendance is very important to us on the campus of GCMS. We would love to see 100% of our students here and engaged daily. Make up work is very difficult for students this time of year. Missed assignments are the culprit of many unfortunate poor averages for students, as well.
A positive attitude allows your student to envision good things. It allows them to embrace challenges with optimism and enthusiasm. It enhances resilience, encourages self-motivation, and allows students to overcome mental and emotional barriers. We believe their positive mindset will improve their overall academic performance.
