The Role and Benefits of the GCMS Counselor

The GCMS Counselor plays a vital role in supporting students’ overall growth; personally, socially, and academically. By providing a range of services including educational planning, decision-making skill development, and personal-social guidance, the counselor helps students navigate challenges and reach their full potential.

As the GCMS Counselor, my goals are to:

  • Empower every student to develop self-direction, critical evaluation, and a deeper self-understanding.
  • Cultivate a strong sense of self-respect, empathy for others, and a commitment to community involvement.
  • Guide students toward becoming responsible, mature individuals who appreciate the importance of making thoughtful decisions and accepting their outcomes.

Having a dedicated counselor on campus ensures that students receive personalized support to thrive academically and emotionally, fostering a positive school environment where every student can succeed and grow into a confident, capable adult.
