~ April is National Poetry Month ~

Cross-Curricular Artistry

As an English Language Arts cross-curricular collaboration, Mrs. Jessie Taylor's art students visited the library to create poetry using recycled book pages from discarded books. Black-out Poetry is a type of found poetry that utilizes works created by another author, but the artist emphasizes specific words to write an original piece of poetry. The artist then illustrates the page to transform the words into a piece of art.
